I am now the strange operator of the resurrected VCL furry art archive, at the new domain of https://vixencontrolled.net/
It's an important collection where many well-known artists got their start, and in some cases the only 'official' repository of their art. It needed preserving, so I stepped up to the task. Someone ought to.
Plus it means I get to promote WebP and AVIF. Time to let the old formats die off, and more efficient ones take over.

Update re the car; the suspension bolts have snapped and it’s now only worth scrapping. Gonna have to look for a new car ASAP and probably gonna have to rearrange some things.

Car update, mental health (----)
Just got a call from the MOT place. It had failed with the front coils and it turns out that the bolt holding the suspension in place has siezed. They can go ahead but if the bolts snap then the car needs new wheel hubs and that's an extra two grand.
I've told them to go ahead as what can I do? If the coils don't get replaced then it fails it's MOT and is scrap. If the bolts snap then it's scrap. This is really frustrating. ;_;

I learned that Tyson Tan, the artist that, among other things, did the KDE and Krita mascot, also designed a mascot, Libbie, for LibreOffice, but the mascot contest was cancelled because stuff wasn't "professional enough" or something. BUT all his art was available, thus, I took inspiration by this (outdated) project https://github.com/sdomi/libbieoffice and set my own Libbie Splash & Icons with his artwork.
