Honestly if you like docker then that's great but here me out:

Docker on enterprise servers? ✅ Yep
Docker instead of VMs? ✅ Sure why not?
Docker because you want to? ✅ Of course!
Docker on a single board computer for one job? ❌ Nonononono please just tell me the steps involved so I can learn how the system works!

@renbymon The year is 2034. The Linux command "man" is now distributed as a Docker image. To find out how to deploy it, you have to join a Discord server, the client for which is also distributed as a Docker image.

Everytime I look up advice/details of how to do something on Linux and the project/guide doesn't explain what to do, but instead has a docker image, my resolve to never use docker increases a little bit more.

I get why docker exists and I'm not saying that it's not useful but wow I really do not want the question "How do I do x" to be answered with "Use this docker image"

UKpol, Trans rights.

So, the current PM wants to lower the voting age to 16. Which is great, defintiely in support of that.

A 16 year old can, currently, also:
- Drink wine, beer or cider with a meal in a restaurant.
- Legally have consensual sex.
- Get married with parent’s permission.
- Get a licence to drive a moped.
- Claim benefits.
- Open a bank account.
- Get a full-time job.
- Join the Army.
- Choose to leave fulltime school education.
- Choose what they want to study for their future career.
- Get tattoos and piercings.

And yet, apparently, 16 year old isn't old enough to know if they're trans?

thinking i might have to redo our battery % calculation… 8 hours after hitting ‘20%’ this one is still going lol

This weekend is the Belgian Grand Prix - a firm favourite on the calendar. The track can be a bit confusing with many different names given to the corners over the years. Here's the most recent names you'll hear during commentary.

Many thanks to Nyte Cheetah for uncovering Turn 18's name.

@mattcen I find it bizarre that a community that finds the importance of radios coming with schematics completely ignores the idea of open source

Our water boiler doesn't have a way of monitoring the temperature in the hot water tank, so I'm gonna solve that myself with a temperature prob and a small Linux box.

I'd like to take a temperature reading every so often (haven't decided on what frequency yet) and have the results displayed in a graph viewable over http from the comp.

Any suggestions for showing that in the simplest way possible?

WSJT-X SuperFox verification method is flawed.

Additionally it's closed nature makes goes against the spirit of amateur radio.

A lot of thought went into how this should be disclosed. In the end we thought it was important to give developers a chance to change their direction and approach

I've written up notes to demonstrate some of the core issues, but won't be providing technical details until after Jarvis Island dxped
