Ooh. It looks like the BBC are going to throw their entire Doctor Who archive onto iPlayer. As well as setting up a brand new Doctor Who subsite.

Coming on November 1st: bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/2023/doc

The early years of the furry fandom and the #CommodoreAmiga have some links through the characters and animations of Eric W Schwartz. While best known for Sabrina and the Sabrina Online webcomic, his first OC was Amy the Squirrel.

This animation is a collection of clips created for an AmigaVision demonstration at ComputerFest held in Dayton, Ohio - EWS's home town. The demo was conceived by Don Rumford for the AFIT Amiga Users group.

Amy went on to become one of the unofficial mascots of the Amiga.

I'll give you a tag for this, @vulpine. Hope you've been doing okay <3

Look this slink (spandex) is just really really good and I love it a lot!

I want to wear it all the time, every day. Thinking about wearing it under my casual clothes (sans the armour, of course) makes me feel really nice and at ease/comfortable.

I really need to brain properly and get the pattern down so I can get it printed and seven pieces made up! 💜

"Okay. As much I enjoy having you around. Autumn is upon us, and you must be on your way! Be safe my little friends, and I will see you all next spring."

Really need to go speak to my dad soon and tell him that I'm trans and I'm gonna change my name, but the anxiety is holding everything up. :s

Next year, when the weather gets better, I really need to go on a camping trip with @BridleTimeout.

What's stopped me this year was getting hold of some comforts that we'd rather have with us. Should have them for next year. :)

getting some use out of my foundation ham license by making contact for the first time in about 4 years from the National Radio Centre (who very graciously noticed @unlobito and I had licenses and asked if we wanted a go! they were lovely)

the person I made contact with (David / MM0LGR) was all the way in Ayr! (well, 15 mi south)

I wanted to consolidate a few thoughts on google, misinformation, large language models, enshittification, and the fate of the web as we know it.

It started when Carl Zimmer shared this remarkable example of Google being fooled by machine-generated bullshit online.

VDSL over bannana apparently tester got 53680/12658 kbps connection speed on a short run from in-house exchange/DSLAM, through banana, to VDSL2 modem. way better than what i got at home...

i figure that this is worth a cross-website post:

some verification process that netflix has put in place to seemingly cut down on cross-household account sharing is a pretty significant photosensitive seizure risk, it sounds like
