This reminds me of those old science videos we watched in middle. School when the teacher was hung over. #cybertruck

The 2024 FAAFO (F*ck Around And Find Out) Award goes to Elon Musk for daring the Brazilian Government to ban X (formerly Twitter) and then winning about "free speech" when they actually did ban it. I should be pointed out that X was in breach of Brazilian law for allowing hate speech, but you know, Elon never met a Nazi he didn't like.

Please join me in saying a big - Congratulations Elon!

Just a reminder for ham radio ops: The folks at Brandmeister are total bigots and absolute jackasses who think it's totally cool to attack, harass, and misgender my friends.

There are other ways to use DMR. Don't use BM.

Please remember, Elon Musk FULLY COMPLIED with TΓΌrkiye's government asking them to ban dissidents, justifying his decision with the risk of Twitter getting shut down there. But suddenly being asked to ban those involved in a coup attempt is too much for him when it comes from Brazil, even though getting shut down *there* would cost Elon WAY more than losing TΓΌrkiye ever could.

It was never a free speech issue, Elon's just a fascist.

mutual aid request, groceries and utilities

We're a family of disabled critters who need some help paying for our necessities. Electric/gas bill is going to be 251 this month and is due on the 10th. We also need to make a grocery order soon and that's going to be at least 200 dollars.

anything helps, boosts greatly appreciated

Friendly reminder that if you download software updates for Fedora or AlmaLinux from London, there's good odds that your software updates are coming from an HP thin client sitting in a road box in Surrey.

This is perfectly fine, and how free software / the Internet actually works.

Democratic Socialism Simulator by molleindustria is a fun casual political simulator videogame. Notably, all the advisors are funny cartoon animals. The portrait used for the Civil Rights Leader is particularly inspired.

Got those Renamon hand wiggles again.
Really need to make some gloves so I can have three digits instead of five πŸ’œπŸ’›

Though neurotypicals are sometimes hesitant to believe that anyone can truly live like this, because it tends to interfere with core beliefs about free will and "everyone can pull themselves up by their bootstraps"

Getting non-disabled people to understand that some people literally cannot do a thing sometimes no matter how hard they try is a key challenge of disability activism. Because if they accept that, they'd have to challenge core beliefs about society and capitalism working

#Linux is magic. Here are some tools I recently encountered that work only on Linux due to the aforementioned magic -

Inspect a command's effect before committing it to the filesystem - github.com/binpash/try

Box up misbehaving applications, forcing them to put files into the right place - github.com/queer/boxxy

Oh the one thing I do want to get art wise is more "partial" TF stuff where I half TF/take on aspects of other creatures whilst still being Renamon at the base, like can be done in the show ^^

Sometimes I think about redesigning my Renamon thigh markings but then I realise:
1) Bad at coming up with ideas like that
2) I'm indecisive about a lot of stuff
3) Got a lot of art with the standard markings already

My D-Ark digivice has arrived!!! πŸ’œβ€‹πŸ’›β€‹

(Now only if I could cardslash and physically TF into a Renamon with it!!)
