-but also possibly the true pacifist route, and maybe even every other route, could have all happened as well.

you know what other character might also have the ability to transcend, or at least influence other universes? sans. we're pretty sure the stuff in his secret lab alludes to deltarune.

so what if, from sans' perspective, the events of deltarune, whatever they may be, happen first for him (possibly because of chara)-

i feel like what we have going on here is a homestuck type situation, both universes' continuity has been affected by things in the other. let's look at the ending stinger, those were some pretty massive chara vibes, yeah? what if deltarune's universe was one of the "next worlds" they wanted to move on to? if that universe is truly independent from undertale, the events of the genocide route-

so i was thinking about the way chapter 1 ended and what the significance of that might be, and also about some things from undertale. i know toby made that post that said the two games are only loosely connected, but i think it might be more than that. it's pretty much confirmed that they are alternate universes with the same characters living different lives, but i feel like events of one universe have or will affect events in the other.
