@Motodrachen in technicality yes but it's a bit of a minefield when discussing whether or not it should include genders strongly tied to cultures
@shagoli I got raised by hippie pirates on a flower farm and my 'Assigned' gender is 'One who can be many things at the same time'.
According to my Celtic heritage, I'm a Changeling or Fae-child.
uh... Lotsa cultures have a name for what I am except this one? I technically qualify for Two-Soul, except it's Three now.
@Motodrachen I had no idea something like that existed! pangender sounds like it might be a good fit, then, since I doubt anyone would get on your case for it here as opposed to tumblr
@shagoli Well, the Vulgar for what I am (Intersex) is Hermaphrodite, which... Well, I'm a Furry and a Dragon, we come in that flavor and nobody seems to care. c_c
So I adopted that but get told it's a slur on intersex folks.
And like, uhh... I am an intersex folk?
@Motodrachen oh! that I know about, it's because medical professionals poorly understood the condition and genuinely thought that these people had all their gendered sex characteristics working at the same time ("both" sets working). I could be a bit off, though, haven't read up on intersexism in far too long. either way it's not their place to tell you whether or not you can reclaim a slur used against people like you
@shagoli
This is where shit gets stupid complicated too, because I'm gonna be starting HRT but I'm not trans?
Like, this is all so I can basically be my Assigned gender, the way I was raised, etc. I feel a little outta place in the trans community because I Literally ran away from my gender shit for a decade to the Gender Hinterlands with my Wife, and in 2016 our backyard got Gentrified.
She's intersex too, just the other direction, and got raised as a Boy.
@Motodrachen there are plenty of cis people who take hormone supplements, though, so that doesn't make you any less you to do so :0 not sure what the market is like for estrogen supplements, but I know I've seen testosterone supplements at my local drug stores many times before. unfortunately it seems like most of your info on the subject is probably gonna have to come from the trans community though
@Motodrachen oh that's wonderful!! good luck on your journey to hormonal greatness!!
@Motodrachen holy crap, I've heard terrible things about what birth control side effects can do to a person but this may just take the cake! I had no idea it could do those kinds of things oh gosh
@shagoli Well see, she got flipped over to a normal feminine cycle from where she was at, and Birth Control is acting like HRT for her.
so of Course I'd start getting cramps and mood swings and Deep Feminine Needs (tm).
@Motodrachen I had no idea the human body can react this way! fascinating to hear but at the same time I really hope this stops being an issue for you very soon :'D
@shagoli Yeah I thought it was psychosomatic at first...
@shagoli Well it should stop them swinging wildly on their own.
On top of that I'm slaved to my Wife's cycle and since she's been on Birth Control my body's been like 'Well, guess we're girl now!'
