I've found a rather effective response to anecdotal experiences of '"reverse racism'".
You must validate that their pain was undeserved, and that they suffered unfairly. But you must, specifically frame it as prejudice, xenophobia, bullying, antisemitism, or whichever term you'd feel would be an adequate replacement for 'racism'.
Ex:
"I was chased down the street with a weapon for being a white boy."
"That's a horrible act of prejudice you experienced, and I'm sorry for that."

"I got made fun of for having a big nose in my home country because I'm half white."
"That's disgusting! And that has overlapping aspects with racism because it highlights antisemitism and antiblackness, both of which shame larger or more shapely noses, specifically."

I'm not saying this isn't a tricky response, and I'm not saying it can't be pidgeonholed or escalate some situations. But it's a really good way of showing someone that there is a word for their suffering, and racism isn't just a blanket term.
