so for some reason, since about 5 minutes ago, i can't open (or save) any of the files on one of my hard drives. nice. i just get "bad file descriptor" type errors

should i restart my computer? it will almost certainly fix it but these days i feel like there is also a risk that when i start up the computer it'll say "oops! your files have been encrypted" and there'll be a ransom message, so maybe i'll just sit there and never do anything ever again

i clicked on the drive in windows explorer and clicked on options>tools>error checking and it said that errors were found on the drive and did i want to fix them. so i was like "what errors?" so i clicked on details, and it opened up the Windows Event Viewer, which was empty

right im just restarting the fuckdamn computer. if i don't return then its because ive been fuckin bitcoined

well it all seems to work fine now i've restarted. can't open files on your computer?? restart your computer. why??? computer
