@noelle i think the heaviest part is being its own web server and all of the server side page building part of that
they're probably including on ram usage the database too
@noelle just trying to explain it, not justify.
@noelle like if you want a git server without the niceties of being able to see what's happening from your web browser like we're used to with github, you can get away with much less than 1gb. but most people want the comfort of a web interface.
