did you know: i have a "demoscreen" set up on my desk and you can use Processing to control it

link is in a followers-only reply to this toot, or ask me (for trust reasons)

oohhhhh now there's and idea i didn't think of, instead of only pulling screenshots from the demoscreen (which lags it a lot) i could also have processing.js render the same sketch to you locally so you have a better idea of what it looks like in motion...

i'll probably implement that some day but not today

@squirrel oh wow, that's awesome!
Is it only for sketches and such~?

@somarasu right now it's only a node thing generating that page, which then puts to a few shell scripts which compile the processing sketch and toss it onto a pocketchip mounted onto my desk yeah

@squirrel @somarasu it's "only" a cool ass file catcher that autoloads what it catches into graphical form on dedicated hardware without outside intervention yeah

@djsundog @somarasu "dedicated hardware" is a bit of a stretch to call a pocketchip xD

@djsundog @squirrel i wish i were able to do something like that. i cant handle hardware to save my life.

@somarasu @djsundog it's just a bunch of shell scripts on a thing running mainline linux trust me im not doing any hardware sorcery here
