@noelle Did we ever leave? For all Google's money, damned if I can point to any improvement since they displaced the /superior/ Altavista, with its option of boolean search operators. (Admittedly, AV basically ended themselves, hopping onto the portal bandwagon with abandon, leaving Google as the uncluttered option)
