okay i can't figure this out

ran assets:precompile, rand build again but up -d won't even restart the containers now, just says they're all up to date

so what am i missing to get push notifications working

what did i do wrong

please help me

@vahnj i put them in .env.production like the undocumented whispering voices told me to and i ran docker-compose build again to make sure the file was included in the docker black-box and i ran docker-compose up -d to restart it but the container was up-to-date

@vahnj @squirrel Crom, is it possible that the push-notifications option has been folded into Desktop Notifications in the Notifications column options?

@noelle @vahnj my phone should be vibrating right about now then, shouldn't it? or are push notifications not what i'm thinking about

what are push notifications

@squirrel @vahnj Okay, yeah, I'm getting desktop notifications when m.s is open, but not push notifications when the window is closed.

@squirrel @vahnj Hm. m.s just asked if it /could/ give me Notification Center notifications...

@squirrel @vahnj ...but it still isn't actually sending me the notifications. :/ (I went into my browser's preferences, to... privacy?, and removed it from the list of sites that had asked to send notifications, and then it asked again after a few minutes.)

@noelle @vahnj ok so it's broken for everybody but nobody noticed/complained i guess

what do we do now, do we File A GitHub Issue or what

@squirrel @vahnj There was a concern here that push notifications might not work, but it doesn't seem to actually have been tested for that: github.com/tootsuite/mastodon/

@squirrel @noelle @vahnj mmm they are working for me. what browsers y'all testing on and is there anything in the dev console
