when you decide you feel uncomfortable about someone following you do you let them know you're softblocking them or do you do so quietly
this is not a subtoot i want to know what people expect from me
@squirrel I certainly wouldn't expect someone to let people know they were softblocked, if someone's feeling uncomfortable then it'd probably cause more discomfort to tell the other person about it
On the other hand if I were on the receiving end a head's up would be appreciated
I'd take it case by case
@squirrel If I'm doing something to upset a friend, I'd prefer to know about it. Finding out that I've been softblocked (from my perspective) out of nowhere is upsetting. That said, I don't expect an explanation and don't feel I'm owed one.
@squirrel so far I've only done it quietly, but I can imagine situations in which I would tell the person
i ask because lately i feel like i've been upsetting a lot of people and i want to know what to do not to upset anyone anymore
