@squirrel I just don't know what to do. I've learned that when people don't respond that means "I don't want to talk to you". Maybe that's wrong but I only have my past experiences to go by, and my past experience says that if I keep talking when someone's not responding, I'm being an irritating asshole, not a helpful, soothing presence.
