attempting to restore the ipod again 🤔 extracting software...
the screen took longer this time to go to its inverted-color hecked up state
wonder if it'll eventually fix itself with time
also a big whoops: the fogginess i thought was just dirt/bad lcd was actually condensation inside the ipod probably from being shipped at high altitudes 😅 so uh shouldn't have tried to turn it on yesterday
it seems to have all evaporated now? at least whatever was visible
i managed to get it into dfu mode which made the itunes restore apparently go a little further but still end on error 2009
then i tried to pry the ipod open to see if the battery had become disconnected and uh i put two more cracks on the already cracked screen and didn't get it open
welp
mmmm no. it goes to prepare the ipod for restore and it just doesn't work and gives unknown error 2009, which has some very very vague info online
i guess this is busted huh :(
