@squirrel I mean it talks to the camera to autofocus, so I think it has to have it... why it has a usb port tho I'm guessing is probably because they know it can't really focus right and they'll fix it later maybe
@masklayer afaik autofocus is entirely dependent on camera? lens has no sensors. if I'm not mistaken canon systems have motor on lens and nikon on camera, but that's all the electrical connections between lens and camera do??
@squirrel @masklayer new nikons also have motors on the lens. they stopped having motors in the body for all lower end cameras with the d40 iirc
