i wish there were more demand for hardware-accurate game soundtracks for:
- DOS
- NES
- Mega Drive
- Master System
- Game Boy

cause i can do any of those and i'd rather work on a soundtrack like that rather than something modern

"maple," you ask, "what does your master system music even sound like?"
well i'm glad you asked soundcloud.com/svetlana/plump-

the master system PSG is super fiddly and limited and i'm really proud of that track

@squirrel Genesis/Megadrive chip scene is solid on like, a demoscene basis, but retro retraux games in that graphical style NEVER have accurate sound design and I don't know why. DOS retraux's are unheard of and that's a crime tbh. Though I think we agree there. I think the Famitracker & LSDJ demoscene have cornered the NES and GB aesthetic. Master System? I don't even think is on the map, sadly.

@squirrel with how many are or were in the scene I think even my grandma probably has done Famitracker tunes tbh.

@squirrel We need to talk Tim Wright into revisiting the Lemmings soundtrack.

@mathew yeah but i didn't work on lemmigs? or are you suggesting i get hired to remake the lemmings soundtrack in an old console?

@squirrel I just like the idea of accurate rerecordings of game soundtracks in general.

@mathew me too that's why i wish i'd get hired more to work on them
