attempted repair.. looks like this might be the only trace broken, even if the rest isn't great
considering putting clear nail polish on the rest but worried it might make it worse

cap cleanup.. none of the original pads remain but shouldn't be hard to tap into the ones the old owner/technician uncovered, apparently with a jackhammer https://computerfairi.es/media/omA7Lz2K43RCJgYjquk
also the qtip i used to clean left a lot of cotton behind in this picture but i can't see anything with the naked eye. not sure how to get rid of it
