oy. these sony drivers are way more anemic in bass :(

ugh god this sounds so much worse. i hate that my old drivers (came from a beats) died

or maybe idk. with some equalization they sound better too? who knows.

i think it's just amplifying mid range too much and making it sound tinny, but if i bring that down it sounds as good as my old set

@squirrel Dunno if this is the problem, but if a driver install reset the settings, in playback devices, configure speakers, there's a "full range" option which might be off by default and it's basically an anti-bass filter if it's off.

@rainwarrior couldn't find that but found a bass boost option that helps a little (though i feel bad about having to apply enhancements to audio?)

@squirrel Well, it looks like this. (In the playback devices, click the speaker, then click configure, then click "next" on the window that opens to get to the full range setting.)
