@eq hmm not particularly, jpeg artifacting happens when:
- there's a very sharp change in colour rather than a smooth transition
- the jpeg quality selection isn't high enough to deal with it
so upscaled pixel art, which makes it consist of very well defined patches of single plain colours, gets artifacts easily
but anything out of a real world camera will come out smooth enough that you don't see much artifacts unless you turn the quality down a lot lot lot
