@ratbaby
@bunnylyn used to and i think @murilega does

(i hope it's ok to tag you two?)

@squirrel @murilega @bunnylyn I got an interview offer from a location (thankfully without a drive thru) and curious if I should accept

@bunnylyn @murilega @squirrel after working at McDonalds I'm not willing to do drive thru anymore lol

@ratbaby @murilega @bunnylyn i didn't even know Starbucks had drive thrus huh

(no locations here do afaik anyway)

(beverage drive thru seems odd to me)

@squirrel @bunnylyn @murilega I live in a large city and many of the close locations do. Drive thru is just too stressful to work.

@ratbaby @murilega @bunnylyn i mean... my city has ~12mi habitants... it's just not in the usa so it's not a thing here i guess :p

@squirrel a lot of the locations here are fairly new and near colleges so that might be it too haha. Drive thru at Sbux is usually college students on the way to school or cranky old white people

@squirrel tho my sis used to go thru it with her husky cause they will give u a small cup of whip if the dog can have it and her dog (Yukiko) learned the word Starbucks and would get way too excited if she heard it.

@squirrel we had to start saying Sbux so she wouldn't whine when she couldn't go with us LOL

@ratbaby @squirrel
Yeah, I used to.
I actually really liked it a lot. My team was great and it was really fun. Pretty good benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k, stocks).
It's a really good coffee job, especially if it's your first coffee job and you wanna get more into coffee.

I would totally recommend it. I'd totally work at one again.

@ratbaby @squirrel But also Frappucinos do suck, and there will be some terrible customers, but that's retail/food service so what can you really expect

@bunnylyn @squirrel thank you so much! I'll give them a call back. I do love coffee so that was basically the whole reason I applied.

@ratbaby @squirrel If someone like the manager at the store is a coffee Master then that'll be even better.
Apparently there's gonna be a new program similar to the old coffee Master thing and they might be trying out latte art throwdowns between partners for fun, so they might be trying to get more into the craft aspect.

@bunnylyn @squirrel awesome thanks!! The location that called is high volume (attached to a Barnes and nobles) so that's a concern but I also worked morning and lunch at McDonalds for months so it's probably not something I wouldn't be used to.

@bunnylyn @ratbaby @squirrel I used to work at Starbucks, can confirm. Good benefits. However, sucks in the same way any other food service job sucks

@ratbaby @squirrel @bunnylyn starbucks is okay. If you make more money at your current job it probably wouldnt be worth it to switch

@ratbaby @squirrel @bunnylyn then go for it! the benefits and work environment are better than most any other food service you can find. plus free coffee is nice too

@murilega @squirrel @bunnylyn thanks for the input! Most of my concerns were bc she used to do fast food and it was miserable but this sounds so much better. :)
