hey mastodon? if i mute someone i don't want to see other people boosting them onto my home timeline thanks
i don't want to have to go as far as blocking that person. i just want to mute them. can i please do that and not be reminded of their posts for a bit please?
@squirrel it might not be, though, depending on what I find, because of the way the system attributes boosts to the booster instead of the original post author, but I THINK I might be able to do it...
@InspectorCaracal i mean surely somewhere the original post author is retained if you can pull the profile info from it
@squirrel yeah it's got some kind of redirect function it calls, I need to track down that one to see what it's doing
@squirrel this *should* be relatively trivial for me to change if I can track down a few pieces of code, I'm going to set up a reminder to take a more thorough look tomorrow
