ST: Discovery is so frustrating. Like some of the ideas are very cool but they're executed so poorly. the writing is stilted, unnatural. people with chemistry are not together often. ugh
@transfaeries yeah I was pretty disappointed how quickly they tried to move things from "the federation barely exists" to "we're the galactic police again and you must accept our moral authority". Really really ham fisted.

discovery season 3
season 3 has literally had every episode be: "discovery comes to a new place expecting a warm welcome, oh no everyone's a jerk."
and like there's a way to do that story, where discovery, already traumatised, has it compounded by the constant rejection. but no, they don't even mark it they just keep showing up places being like "hey you're thrilled to see us right?"
