@troubleMoney @cypnk It makes me wonder if it's possible to build and submerge a geodesic dome in a lake or something and be able to live in it for extended periods of time.

This is a pretty comprehensive series of someone who bought a decommissioned underground missile silo (a Titan-II) and is in the process of turning it into a home
It's pretty long, but all the trials and tribulations are there
I believe there are several such silos for sale in the UK too
