someone posted a Gateway Handbook 486 to ebay, and three (3!) former coworkers messaged me suggesting that I purchase it immediately.
so 1) I've talked to them about old DOS laptops enough that they get ebay alerts about them too. 2) I clearly have a *brand identity* 3) I don't know if I have the willpower to resist buying this machine that I have no conceivable use for.
I've managed not to buy it so far, because it's about 2x what I want to pay for it, but the only thing holding me back is having an answer for the lady when she asks "What are you going to do with it?"
