i feel a lot of politics in america come from a place of "if i can't have it better, neither can you."

folks get pissed if a university has like safe spaces/coloring books because it doesn't prepare them for "the real world", then get pissed when that generation makes "the real world" softer and more accommodating. kinda sounds like you're just upset they get to avert anxiety and such
