I'm pretty sure Marriott still has all the data, it's just that more people than they wanted now have the data

@troubleMoney @tek I find it weird that Marriott is getting all the flak when it was Starwood who got hacked. Would you rather that Mariott's system integrators had swept the breach that they acquired under the rug? It sucks if you stayed at a Westin or a Sheraton in the relevant time period but I don't see those brands being dragged through the dirt.

@will @troubleMoney As Marriott bought Starwood, Starwood's troubles are Marriott's. You're right: it wasn't the pre-acquisition team at Marriott that screwed up, but it's now the parent company's responsibility.
