@cypnk Thomas Mudge made the first perpetual calendar watch in 1762, a perpetual calendar complication displays the day and month, keeping track of the varying lengths of the months and even taking into account the leap year every 4 years
The annual calendar complication, which is far simpler than that as it doesn't take into account leap years was invented in... 1996
