The Honda Motocompo was a brilliant idea and the concept should make a comeback
It was a little tiny bike that could fit in the also tiny Honda Today and Honda City Kei cars
I guess the theory was if you couldn't find anywhere to park your car you could park further away and get your bike out the back for the last part of the journey?
Dunno, but, hella cool
@troubleMoney the people who are likely to buy an electric car tend to be less rural, so they often commute into cities where traffic is awful and parking is at a premium. Leaving a car at an existing parking structure, which could be retrofitted with electric charging would help bridge the gaps in our current infrastructure.
@troubleMoney it's an idea super worth revisiting. The biggest drawbacks of this thing were that gas motors smell, leak, etc and a small moped is pretty heavy to lift out of the trunk.
A hybrid or electric car could integrate a modern take with lithium batteries at under 50 lbs. and can be charged by integrated connector so when you plug in your car your bike charges too. European cities don't accommodate cars well, nor does NYC so the market exists
