are we doing food discourse?
jam or clotted cream on first on a scone?
second discourse; how do you pronounce scone?

@packbat depends if you're from devon or cornwall
wars have been fought over the order you put on the jam and clotted cream
re: ignorant food opinions

@troubleMoney @packbat
as somebody in devon, i don't even know which is the proper order, nor which is the proper pronunciation of scone...they kinda make me feel sick after more than one anyway
@troubleMoney skoan
@troubleMoney 1) What's a scone?
2) If it doesn't rhyme with stone I will be angry with the English again.
@troubleMoney
Theory on pronunciation, when you have one in front of you, it is a scone (rhymes with 'own') because you own it..
When you have eaten it, it becomes a scone (rhymes with 'gone') because obviously it is gone..

@troubleMoney ...jam goes on top, right? the bread/cake part comes first, then dairy, then fruit? we've never clotted any cream
also ... uh, /skɔən/, I think? we don't know IPA very well and probably got the vowels wrong somehow...
