So I'm seeing people start building replacements for keybase now that it's been bought by zoom

Is that not just a keyserver? Or have I been unaware of some features that keybase had?

@troubleMoney it's a keyserver which can verify that you own accounts on third party services, and which can't talk normal keyserver protocols. also they added file storage stuff and chat stuff and cryptocurrency stuff later but i don't know anyone who uses those things

Follow

@codl ah, so they're focusing on ways to make a perfectly serviceable keyserver worse

that explains why they all seem to be building stuff on blockchain
