Slightly more scary is the 2038 problem, considering all the internet of bullshit things about that don't get updates that could be an issue

The time and date in unix systems is stored as seconds since the 1st of January 1970
Unix generally holds that number in a 32-bit signed integer which can only hold a limited size of number
At 03:14:07 UTC on the 19th of January 2038 that value will be larger than what the current setup can hold and will wrap around back to the 13th of December 1901
It should all be fixed by the time it becomes a problem, but it's a bit of a scary concept
