Anyone #onhere have much experience with internet archives ia python download tool?
I'm trying to make it do a thing that it appears incapable of, and I'd really appreciate some tips.
(Specifically I'm looking to download the first vbr mp3 listed for each item in a collection that also matches my search params.)
@ajroach42 What kind of search parameters are you trying to use? Can you give an example collection, too?
The collection is georgeblood, I'm searching by subject.
My search query, right now, looks like this: collection:georgeblood AND (subject:blues OR subject:jazz OR subject:rock OR subject:r&b)
Which works okay with the ia python app, but there are 9 mp3 files for each item, and I only want the first one.
@ajroach42 @aschmitz there any pattern to the files you want/don't want?
It looks like all the ones you don't want might have 78_ at the front, if that's the case then you could get ia to search for the files and spit out a list, then you trim the ones you don't want out, then get it to download from that list
