@troubleMoney @vantablack otoh, if you work holidays, you normally get paid more or at least get some additional credibility with the managers.
When I worked retail, and even now that I'm in an office, I always volunteer for a holiday or two each year if we need the coverage.
Makes the bosses real happy, and keeps them from volunteering me for holidays I *don't* want to work.
