Why standard watches are better than smartwatches:
They're not affected by Meltdown/Spectre

@troubleMoney Sorry, forgot they're still Spectre vulnerable. At least they should have a smaller attack surface due to less speculative evaluation?

@troubleMoney They also don't send your every fart to various companies so they can resell the data and target ads at you.

And they don't need charging every <20 hours
@troubleMoney @seanl i have to wind this one sometimes, but if i keep it on my wrist a couple hours a day it winds itself, so.
@troubleMoney Your smartwatch is fine unless it's running on x86, which I'm pretty sure none do because ARM is more battery friendly.
