When i see "whiskey" spelled "whisky" it just looks really weird.

@somarasu i used to think that scotch was whisky and 'some others' (esp bourbon) was spelled whiskey. but then Makers Mark say 'whisky'. so im just confused basically. i guess the world is chaos

@jk @somarasu broadly speaking it's whisky in scotland, canada, japan, england, wales, etc. and whiskey in ireland and the usa

@jk @somarasu the reason maker's mark uses the "whisky" spelling is a tribute to the familiy's ulster scots ancestry
