I was trying to explain the concept of a "smartwatch" to someone

My wife uses hers to see texts at work in a classroom without pulling her phone out. A number of the other teachers do the same. It enables more discreet methods of passing along information.
They're nothing crazy cool though, just a little useful in some circumstances.
