i mean i'm glad the able accounts exist but b r u h. do you know how quick 2k of savings goes in an emergency??? if i needed to save up for a wheelchair, sure, that's something the able account will let me spend my savings on. probably furniture as well.
but consider: one of my niblings gets sick. i need to fly up to help. the flight up, the meals i eat there because i'm not able to cook, a toy to distract other niblings or taking them all to see a movie - uncle sam says nope!!!!!
so i'd have to use only my own funds for that. which i can only use 2k of. *and not even that much*. because as soon as you get a CENT over 2k, THEY WILL COME KNOCKING ANGRILY AT YOUR DOOR, CALLING YOU, WANTING YOU TO PAY THEM BACK FOR EVERYTHING. so realistically, the only amount of savings i can ever have ISN'T 2k... it's 2k minus the amount of money i get a month. if not less, so i don't accidentally end up five bucks over and then have to kowtow to the government for three weeks.
