someone on mastodon gave me a very nice guide about what i would want to look for because i mentioned kind of wanting a laptop that could run things like ouchies better since my laptop now like. its barely running overwatch. so they gave me a nice guide on what i should look for for something that'd work but boy. i don't know what any of these words mean

i understood like. half of it. i dont know anything about anything. but. i do feel like it helped a bit because i have a much better idea of kinda want i want than i did before you helped me out lmao

@knifethievingcrow honestly it can be intimidating as fuq trying to figure this shit out because it's jargon, like, all the way down LOL, so i can totally explain some of what i actually mean when i say stuff like "you want a dedicated gpu" if you'd like! you can also poke around people's reviews and usually at least one will talk about stuff like "i can run x game on y settings" to kinda give you an idea of where it's at tbh

@wigglytuffitout tbh i've kinda been winging it and i've just been lookin at overwatch's requirements and then also looking at what my current laptop is like and im just trying to find something that's like a middle ground or something that at least works for overwatch

@wigglytuffitout like maybe i'm not very smart but im thinkin. it's the only game i've got on my laptop that doesn't work very well on my laptop rn. everything else is fine. even though i play like. the same 3 things. so in theory. if said new laptop ran overwatch better than my current one wouldn't it run the other 3 things i like just the same/better as it would on my current laptop
