nonetheless, i remain increasingly fed up with the casual bigotry that gets a pass, even in 'enlightened' spaces, with "but it's a funny meme!" or "i'm being ironic!" or "but it's anime though!" or a thousand other excuses

yes he reads theory, but does he think at all about the media he creates and passes along? ...or do the dishes?
