Is it just me, or is this librem.one thing all a storm in a tea-cup?

If @purism eliminated the public timeline on their instance, but other admins are worried timelines elsewhere will get polluted...

How about just asking them to not allow posts that are "public"?

That solves it, AFAICT. If they are still responsive and take abuse reports seriously, there's no issue here.

My take: they're trying to do something really cool over there, stop looking for knee-jerk excuses to ban everything.

@HerraBRE @purism@librem.one i mean, if i thought they were going to do an actual good job of moderating, it would be a lot less of a problem

however they've removed all guidelines of what is abusive, said they'll only pump the breaks on stuff that's actually law-breaking, and this is on top of other behavior - like wanting to remove the report feature entirely, their chat client having google analytics in it for awhile (and, to me, crucially, NOT TELLING CUSTOMERS), etc - idk if they can be trusted.
