anime, tweet

I’m not quite mean enough to share this with my 85% male anime club but... yeah twitter.com/LaydiexSkull/statu

Imagine watching anime for men, though, wtf

@b i was about to object as well before i saw the tweet, because quite frankly i do sometimes watch anime for the men. i have a type. my type is "anime dilf". i should probably be kinkshamed for this more often. goddamn is kotetsu t. kaburagi a snack.

but then i read the tweet and oh my god yeah this is a thread of men who don't realize they're maybe a 2/10 at best arguing strenuously that they deserve no less than a 10/10, though they will settle for 9/10 if no supermodels are available

@b (the men who show up to be offended, that is. They're Mad At The Truth)

@InspectorCaracal @b you are a good and sensible person, i got to the person being super upset at the "i don't know why this dumb joke about not showering persists!! it's just not true!! i'm so offended"

My Dude, If You've Ever Been To An Anime Convention, You Either Get It Or You're Part Of The Problem

@wigglytuffitout omg

I mean, I can’t imagine ever being in a relationship with someone who doesn’t like anime at least as much as I do... But nerds even today can be especially hostile to women? >.>

@b it's fuckin ridiculous

especially when i've seen in practice that the proto-incels, in gaming circles, want to sit and whine loudly about how they don't have a girlfriend

then when a girl expresses interest, she gets tossed into next week for not looking exactly like their fav supermodel, on account of being Maybe 10 Pounds Overweight or Having Too Sharp Knees. like, people who are obviously just on physical level out of their league.

AND THEN WONDER WHY THEY'RE ALONE...

it's amazing

@wigglytuffitout Yeah, the sheer lack of empathy and self awareness is unbelievable
