xmas food

@envgen alas we do not have christmas pudding and we do not set it on fire :(

over here in americaland pudding almost exclusively refers to custard, usually of the type that is 'instant'/thickened with cornstarch instead of the whole nine yards of pulling out the double boiler and so on. similar to bird's custard powder. suet puddings or boiled puddings have basically not existed here for a long time. (at least 'here' meaning 'the american south') (we do luv our banana pudding tho)

so in the mail we got this catalogue for something called 'the victorian trading company' and i'm so offended on a personal level that there are so many items i actually want to purchase in there

family-ish i guess? a question also (~ but not really neg)

@trashyfins@chomp.life i'm sorry but this means your ojou syndrome is finally revealing itself. soon every laugh will be a full-on dignity laugh where you put a hand up near your face. on the plus side you're going to look very elegant from hereon out

@Jacki@radical.town tbh i just prefer regular-ass hair elastics, or even the types that are a little closer to a scrunchie (lol) since the fabric barrier there is nice to keep it from mangling my hair. but tbh even more than that i've been really enjoying these foamy bun maker things. however i don't really wear my hair up in a ponytail, just a messy bun when i need it up, so it's that or the claw type hairclips for me.

@Jacki@radical.town oh hey i do know this, nice

they're like hair ties but apparently they stay a whole lot better. like you can put that motherfucker in there and do all sorts of shit and it won't budge.

but to be honest i think it depends a lot on your hair type. i know i haven't tried them personally because my hair is super thick and i'd have a hell of a time getting it out again. i've also heard that if you have a tender scalp or are worried about hair breakage, they can be difficult to then remove.

@Jacki@radical.town i might know this or i may be utterly clueless, but can you like show me what you mean?

i will say though that when/if you watch the pagan poetry video (which is nsfw, despite not actually showing anything explicit, but yeah. yeah. nsfw.),

it's gonna give you a piercing play kink.

it's just gonna happen. it is.

honestly i think it really is worth it if you treat some of her major music videos like art films. pagan poetry (pictured in gif), all is full of love, joga, wanderlust, i miss you, the gate. they're just solid pieces of visual work and really interesting collaborations with directors/designers to boot (for example, the music video for 'i miss you' is animated by john kricfalusi; pagan poetry features a dress that i consider to be some of the absolute best of alexander mcqueen's work)

and i mean, if all else fails, there are lesbian robots you can appreciate

you might not like her as a person or enjoy her music or agree with her - i certainly don't agree with her on some things she presents lyrically - but goddamn, bjork's music videos, costumes, etc. are stunning works of visual art alone and well worth looking at

anyway i also am not really at home somewhere until there is spam. so................... it's bjork time

i'm just going to slam an idea down real quick at y'all

guest mission crossover event with

listen. just look at her aesthetic for the gate that she is vibing with. it's so good. it's so good!! the two art styles would mesh SO well media.giphy.com/media/AJiQIwlr ...just slap that on a warframe IT'S FINE IT'LL BE WONDERFUL

is this christmas spirit? is this the cbd oil? who knows!!! either way hooray!!!

@Jacki@radical.town it usually says on the package somewhere! if it's just moisturizing, you can leave it on a lot more flexibly. but if there's any clay in it, or anything acidic (brightening, clarifying, acne-fighting), stick to the guidelines. 10 minutes is a pretty solid guesstimate there. :>

so my mom using one of her very, very limited save slots? a big deal. immensely so. but she did, just so her daughters could see a little pixel unicorn whenever they wanted.

so in summary: sometimes people are good! and the kindness we receive even if it seems small and silly can inspire us to pass it on to other people! and on that note i love all y'all and merry christmas! 💖

this may not seem like a big thing unless you've ever actually played a sierra point and click. but those things? unfair bastards. fucking unfair shitmonster games that will let you very easily get them into an unwinnable state, and not tell you that it's unwinnable until it's 5 hours later. oh, and lots of sudden deaths.

dark souls has nothing on sierra. and this is good, because soulsborne games are tough, but fair. sierra games ARE NOT FAIR. AT ALL. they are mean bastards.
