honestly, despite the fact that i'm sitting here with skyrim going on my switch, bastion is an amazingly better game than skyrim and will be every day

skyrim is sort of like popcorn. you can spend a lot of time eating it but it just sort of disappears and is gone from your mind so quickly. i've never really felt skyrim as something that was particularly unique or groundbreaking to me.

@eightbitsamurai@elekk.xyz honestly, i would go with option two. i've done option one before but like, approaching them as another artist here to "talk shop" and with added pep talk of "believe in the me who believes in youuu!!!!". as a customer, i can guarantee that it will have a HUGE impact on them if you then go "hey, here's my payment, yeah i tipped 100% but your art is so worth it and you should consider raising your prices! you deserve it!".

@k i'm unsure since i haven't ordered any myself, but honestly i've been very pleased with other stuff i've gotten off aliexpress. they usually surpass the quality i'm expecting. for three bucks it's not going to come and make you breakfast in bed, mind, but if you then lose your sunglasses somewhere, you're out 3 bucks instead of 30 LOL

potentially 🌶️ opinion:

a lot of vocaloid songs are kind of a flop in my eyes, because the best ones are songs that are aware that - while technically impressive - vocaloid singing still exists in uncanny valley

the best songs often work with this and lean into more of an electronica vibe, or are built around lyrics/a mood that is enhanced by this uncanny quality (like Meltdown, which is really grim lyrics-wise and exists as an exercise in the junction between lyrical meaning and upbeat song)
