@eightbitsamurai@elekk.xyz i'm probably an outlier here on account of being raised in a family of Massive Fucking Nerds, but i actually can't remember any restrictions on computer or game use? i'm sure there was some "do your homework first" at some point, but the only real rule - largely unspoken - was to keep mom and dad updated on what i was doing, even vaguely. and they were supportive and enthusiastic about all of my weird hobbies, so that wasn't exactly a chore >

@pie if you're changing out piercings for the first time, that means that you're probably not totally healed up yet - they usually recommend to keep it in (but twist it every day) for like a week or so iirc (i'm fuzzy on exact length)

there will probably be a touch of blood doing the first swap of earrings/etc., but a tiny bit. probably more likely a scab.

i'd get in on the custom mtg card thing that @Sapphicgiraffic@snouts.online is doing, but quite frankly, i have no idea how magic the gathering do, so i have made my own card for myself representing my usual level of strategy and skill in card games

i think you could make orange and turmeric work, actually - but in a savory context. you could probably do a really nice chicken dish with orange and turmeric in there, sort of a sweet and sour meets halfway to a yellow curry thing

@InspectorCaracal see orange spice tea is nice because you got like, cinnamon in there. cinnamon goes good with orange and sweet!

in my defense!!!!! it has a shitwhack of turmeric in it!!!! turmeric is very nice but i am not sold on it being a great taste sensation when put into a sweet orange gummy.

the only way to write fanfiction for star wars and stay sane is to approach canonical material not as a strict set of laws to all be adhered to or else, but rather a tasty buffet where you can fill your plate with whatever appeals, with the complete freedom to skip over the dubious-looking shrimp scampi

just carve off the tasty bits

anyway the real reason i won't do my obnoxious spinoff up-my-own-ass star wars fic idea is because one of the newer films changed the location of where darth vader's castle is and i don't want to deal with five bajillion comments telling me i'm wrong for whichever one i chose to write lmao
