i think i've settled on my start-of-shadowbringers glam and i had the PERFECT GOOD FORTUNE to get void ark in roulette so it was GOTH BACKDROP TIMES

plot only continues when alisaie is located and janine then spends 15 minutes chasing her around because "hold still honey you got a bit of schmutz on your face" and alisaie objecting because recently-licked-fingers are not the most sanitary cleaning device despite being mom-approved for several centuries. a compromise is reached with janine using her sleeve instead of her finger. then they get back to saving the world etc.

i'm really looking forward to the first scene of Shadowbringers: janine kicking down the door of the source - and by that i mean she throws obtuse the topaz carbuncle at the door as hard as she can and breaks through that way - and yelling at the top of her lungs "WHERE THE FUCK DID Y'ALL PUT MY DAUGHTER".

in my darkest hours of fanfictioning, as i explain for the fifteenbillionth time of "yes i do want to finish Masquerade, but i want to finish it properly, and right now illness is preventing me from doing that, so i am trying to just push around some dreck to keep my hand in, pls stop yelling", i often consider uploading a new chapter of Masquerade that's just an author's note saying for every comment i get yelling at me to update i will be moving the time of that update back six weeks

at this rate i'll write it and the first comment is going to be

"you labeled this sidlink and also zeldalink and also "all of hyrule is now a polycule converging on link" which are all great things i'm into, but this appears to be a thinly veiled treatise on the domestic worldbuilding of the zorua?????"
