@Brennuvargur@fandom.ink @pink_ink at least in Europe the power grids are well stabilized against over-voltage. Most supplies have a simple protecting circuit against voltage spikes as well. If a lightning would strike a power line near your house, that could cause some unwanted restarts etc. In Germany those power lines are mostly through earth cables and well protected. So of you safe regularly or you have a device with a battery you are fine.

@Brennuvargur@fandom.ink @pink_ink The outsides are a bit of an issue: Stay especially away from solitary trees, which act like antennas and draw in the electric field, trees in general, because strong gusts can break off branches or uproot the entire tree, open fields and mountain tops, where your body will be the antenna/highest exposed conductive object.

@Brennuvargur@fandom.ink @pink_ink if the hair on your body is rising from electric charge outside get down

@Brennuvargur@fandom.ink @pink_ink If you own a house or are allowed for making constructional modifications go for lightning arresters. They help to dissipate electric field bubbles before they endanger persons in or around the house. As far as I know those bubbles can be as small as a dozen meter in diameter.

@Brennuvargur@fandom.ink @pink_ink I hope that helps. If you have questions feel free to ask
