sadly this is the only one I have but I had to use it because even though we have normal plasters in the house, it was on my middle finger, and...

c'mon. for a short while I can flip people off with a heckin' cute plaster on my finger :D

@Nine I take it plaster is the term for an adhesive bandage in your dialect?

@Rosemary yepyep! We don't have the brand Band-Aid here in the UK, so the generic name for them is "Fabric plasters" or "plasters" in general, especially for non woven fabric based ones. Not entirely sure why they're called "plasters" honestly given there's no plaster in them.

@Nine I assume it goes back to the use of plaster casts, but I can't see much of a relationship beyond that they're both used for injuries.

@Rosemary I guess so, wikipedia has failed me in this case but I guess the etymology of the term isn't super important to them. ;w;

@Nine Wiktionary would be the better choice to look it up on, I think.

@Rosemary Ooo, it wasn't specific about it but it looks like it sort of comes from the verb usage, such as "to plaster"? because you stick it on something? and also the original latin root means "bandage" in the medical sense. en.wiktionary.org/wiki/emplast

That was a really good idea and pretty enlightening! Thank you ^^
