I'll be a stick in the mud and say the Link's Awakening artstyle looks too close to Wind Waker than Link's Awakening. It very much is in line with the whole "copy an aesthetic until it doesn't even make sense anymore" telephone game thing Zelda as a franchise has now. I don't hate it, but hmmm...

@LANthus to me it likes like a refined version of the art style from Link Between Worlds
@evie which was an updated version of Spirit Tracks' art, which was an update of Phantom Hourglass' art, which was an alterations of Wind Waker's art.
@LANthus @Nine I dunno, the art/looks of the different Links here make it seem more in line with LBW and early looking link, but with a bit of an updated style

@LANthus ya know, the more I think about it the more I think I like it and how it fits into the whole story of the game of being like "oh yeah this isn't ACTUALLY real it's all a dream"
I can see Link's dream being a little rudimentary toyset
@Nine @evie Idk, I think I'm liking it less and less every time I'm seeing it. I feel like this sort of style would have fit better with a remake of 1 or 2, but it just doesn't jive with me. everythings so plasticy and DOF'd out and just... eeeeeh.
