@jk @pupy yeah they were just super friggin annoying in the og halflife at that point. :/

@pupy @jk I just caught up on the thread and I know what you mean and yeah... Out of the entirety of Black Mesa, that bit is... the least fun. Silver lining, it's one relatively short bit, as opposed to an entire chapter of the damn game (Xen) that sucks. So. You know... Kind of an improvement I guess.

Still maybe that bit coulda been worked on some more to make it less... "so here's a bunch of teleports where you don't know where you're going to end up exactly. GOOD LUCK (you'll need it)"

@Nine @pupy I had pretty much forgotten the teleporter nonsense and now I remember that being the only part of the game that I found frustratingly unenjoyable, Xen is bad but mostly because it's boring and ugly and doesn't have any of the fun parts of the game the earlier chapters did?

@jk @Nine i can at least confirm that xen in black mesa (remake) is gorgeous

@pupy @jk oh heck it truly is, it's bloody breathtaking and ...WOW it actually is gorgeous. also you really DO get a sense that the Black Mesa team were actually doing research there too. It's worth playing the 1.0 release to see Xen in its entirety. Crowbar Collective did an amazing job on Xen.

@pupy @jk The final boss is absolutely bloody epic too. Easier to understand too. a bit more straightforward, but WOW it's hard.
